This Apple Rooibos Yoghurt Bowl recipe brings together warm, spiced fruit and cool, creamy yoghurt for a balanced, flavourful breakfast.

Ingredients

  • 1–2 apples, sliced
  • ⅓ cup Rooibos tea, brewed
  • 1–2 tbsp honey
  • Cinnamon, to taste
  • 1 cup Greek yoghurt
  • 1 scoop Biogen Complete Whey, Vanilla flavour

Ingredients to serve

  • Granola
  • Toasted pecans
  • Nut butter

Biogen Complete Whey is a delicious, high protein shake that contains a precise blend of high biological value, fast and slower digesting proteins. The ideal ratio of whey, casein, milk protein concentrate, and plant proteins in this product provides a timed-release formulation with a superior amino acid profile that allows for optimum nitrogen retention.

Method

  1. Add the sliced apples, brewed rooibos tea, honey, and cinnamon to a saucepan. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook until soft and jammy.
  2. In a bowl, mix the Greek yoghurt with the protein powder until smooth and well combined.
  3. Spoon the yoghurt into a bowl, top with the slightly cooled apples, and finish with granola, toasted pecans, and a drizzle of nut butter.
  4. Enjoy while the apples are still warm.
